    Hi Ben,

I’m trying to convert 1080i DVCPRO HD (recorded live from Canon XL-H1 to Kona SDI card) into DVCPRO 60p, and then convert to DVCPRO 24p for a true slo-mo look.

A person in the HDV forum said you recommend Compressor for this chore. Is this correct? I’m rendering out a 5 sec. clip and it’s amazingly slow on my G5 dual 2.7…I checked a bunch of motion adaptive stuff in the frame controls area of the inspector, which is why I think the render is going slowly.

    Any insights you could share?

    Thanks,

    Barlow

Although I’m obviously not Ben and therefore not qualified to answer this question, you might want to check this out while you are waiting for him to respond.

    😉

    Hey, thanks for that link.

btw, I did figure out how to do the conversion. It looks amazing, and the slow motion is amazingly smooth too.

Sorry, I’m on paternity leave this month, so not checking the boards as much as usual.

Glad it worked for you. The optical image flow stuff is amazing, albeit amazingly slow…
