hello. i just recorded some sample footage in 24p mode and captured and when i scrub on the timeline, the footage looks fine. — however when i render and play back, it’s a big brown screen of blah. i 2x the captured clips , which played fine in windows media.

i was thinking it may be my windows media install, but since it played fine there, i’m guessing my system. i’m running a p4 2.8 w 2g ram and my graphics card is a geforce fx 5200 (old card) any thoughts anyone?

[mc 1] “hello. i just recorded some sample footage in 24p mode”

Sample footage from which camera? How was the footage acquired? Also, can we get a better description of ‘blah’?

sure. the sample footage was acquired using a dvx100a in 24pa mode. i shot it around my house for a test. lol. and ‘blah’ = as if one made a brown solid and overlayed it on top of the clip.

i opened the clips in a premiere 1.5 project and played the footage just fine, which is strage to me. thoughts?

What are your project settings in 2.0 as well as in 1.5?
