Question about Tutorials, Sort of OT
I was just wondering, I need to capture some web interactivity for an AE project that I will be working on, and looking at Aharon Rabinowitz’s tutorials I think that would be a great way of showing it. I was wondering if anyone knew if there were a way for me to capture my screen like he has in his tutorials using a mac. If anyone has any ideas thank you very much in advance. If you need an example you could look at any of Aharon’s recent tutorials.

I use a free program called CamStudio, which is hard to find on line these days, but if you search enough, you probably will be able to find it.
It’s a windows-based shareware program from a company that no longer exists.
If not you can always check out CamTasia Studio which is based off the above program, with amany improvements, or you could try Macromedia Captivate (or whatever they call it now – the name has changed 3 times) which captures flash, which AE can read, I think. These both cost money though…

If you’re using one of the OSX flavors, look in your applications folder for a folder called Snapz Pro X. Inside that you’ll find the basic screen capture program along with information how to use the program and how to upgrade.
