Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro Question about rendering

  • Question about rendering

I am creating a film in Adobe Premiere. I’m quite far in, and I’ve only just found out about rendering as you go along. Up until now all of the video on my timeline has been unrendered, but I can still see the video previews when I drag the timeline around, and when I press play as well. So is there any point in me rendering everything on the timeline? Will it save time later when I export the final video? And also, if I do render everything, will it create new files in my project folder to represent the rendered timeline video? I’m about 8 minutes in to my video, and rendering it suggests that rendering it all would take about 2hrs30, whereas exporting the final video would take about 40 minutes, so I don’t know if it’s worth doing it or not.

I would play safe and do it, overnight. You can save the file anyhow.
