Question about new feature with the hand tool
I’m watching this help video:

and at about 6:00min to 6:30min the instructor is working with the zoom and hand tool at about 6:20min he is showing off the improved hand tool and he goes over a way to be “very zoomed in” and then he jumps out pics a new area kind of like a new and improved navigator on the fly and then once he and found a new spot he would like to focus on the same level he PS takes him back to the same level of zoom. The only discription of what he is doing is “this new function” I’m out of ideas I’ve tried to look it up on google but with out a real name or any idea of what he is actully doing I’m shooting in the dark.

Yes sir, it a classic example of when you know something you can’t imagine not knowing it.
As the instructor has clearly demonstrated in this video tutorial.

“Birds Eye”
press and hold H, then click, hold, and move the mouse around the image. Let go of mouse click to be zoomed back in.
I appreciate you pointing this out, this feature will be incredibly useful!

I can’t get it to work?!?!
What I’m working on: PS-CS4(ver.11)on a windows XP workstation.I’m following the that webpage expiation as wells as the one provided on the previous post. I’m zoomed way in and then I press the H and HOLD the H key and my zoom tool quick changes to a hand tool. But it doesn’t jump out or any thing!
I’m almost afraid to ask the next question but if the Birds Eye feature on of the new and in my opinion very unfair “MAC only” upgrades?

I know little about hardware, but I would not rule it out.
The guy said something about “the new features utilyzing openGL, maybe something to do with that?
