  Question About Memory & FCP7 and Compressor 3

  I am running Final Cut Pro 7 on my Mac Mini 2.4GHz (4GB Ram) and when I want to export my current project the noise reduction software that I am using (Neat Video) causes FCP to crash. The solution seems to be changing the memory settings in FCP down to 50% usage.

  The question I have is, if I send my project to Compressor will Compressor utilize whatever memory is selected in my FCP settings (50%) or will it default to 100% and cause FCP to crash?

  As an aside, and almost cringe worthy question in regards to its stupidity, will 1 core running at 100% complete an export in the same amount of time as 2 cores running at 50% ?
