Question about HPX170
I just got my HPX 170 today! I absolutely love it! Except I have a couple issues…
#1, there is a spot on the lense, I don’t know if it is a mark on the inside of the lens, or if there is a small scratch on it. The store I got it from is closed until Sunday, so I will call them then.#2, In the mean time, I am new to P2, and I have recorded some test footage on the P2 card and I installed the P2 CD in my G5 at work and on my Mac Mini at home and then have tried Fire Wire and USB 2 both and get nothing. Its not the computers, when I switch the modes on the camera, it only goes from CAM mode to MCR mode and then back to CAM mode, it never goes to PC mode. Is there something that I am not doing right with the camera or the P2 card??
Wondering if anyone has similar experiences/ advice..

#1 – yeah, take it back to the dealer.
#2 – Get into MCR mode…thumbnail mode. Now press that button again for 3-5 seconds. NOW you will get into PC mode. Make sure that the camera is set for 1394 device…I believe that is in MENU OPTION 9 on the main camera menu.
