  • Question about exporting for sd dvd, internet, and more (t2i footage)…

I’m wondering if this is the correct workflow to get my footage to sd dvd, internet, and possibly festival formats.

I shot with a t2i -> dumped the h.264 files on my comp -> converted to pro res LT and HQ -> edited in prores LT 720p timeline sequence -> offline LT media files and replaced with HQ files and change sequence to prores HQ for color correction -> export to quicktime movie -> use compressor to compress to desired format.

Is this the best way to work with the footage? This is what I gathered from various posts. I do not have to go back to h.264 unless I am opting for online footage right? Is there a webpage that goes over the most used export codecs?

    Thanks.

Skip LT stage for you already have HQ and you neither save disk space nor time on processing LT. LT-now-HQ-later might be useful in case you’re short of disk space or lack powerful tower.
