  • Question about Corporate Video Work

Hi everyone. I’ve been shooting for StudioNow, a TN-based company that contacts me if there is a shoot for a business in my area. Basically, they call me and say a dentist/lawyer/doctor/etc. needs a commercial/corporate video for Yelp, Groupon, YP.com, etc. And I go to the business for a couple of hours and get b-roll and a couple of interviews. Sometimes I edit the whole commercial and sometimes it’s just the raw footage. I’d like to do this more often but I only get a couple a month, if I’m lucky. Are there any other companies out there that hire videographers for local businesses? The only other one I know if is Lightswitch.
    Thanks!

The best way to get this kind of work is to go drum it up yourself. Then you get to keep the full payday, instead of the company charging a premium over and above your services. That’s freelancing!

Depending on the gear you have and level of skill there’s always Crews Control. I’m sure you can find them online.
