  • Question about composition tranitions using camera?

Posted by Stylz on April 24, 2005 at 8:23 am

I’ve noticed in alot of after effects demo reels on here , and spots on t.v. that a camera will go from one comp to another seamlessly.

My question is..How do you move the camera from one comp to another without a visable seem in where the to comps meet?
Is it a case of the camera path is quicker than the eye(one comp to another in a few frames)? Motion blur as well? I really would like to know.

    Thanks in advance.

Simply use the offset effect it makes for a never ending canvas/comp. I recommend Trish and Chris Meyer books. They cover this in there in detail. Its around $50 bucks or so but the best investment you will make I promise. either barnes and noble or cmp books have them.
Let me know if you have any other ?s.

    Good Luck,

I am in the process of reading creating motion graphics with after effects. I’m on the lights chapter.
What you speak of, is it after effects in production?

    Thanks for the reply.

A link to a clip with the effect you’re talking about would be helpful.
