  • Question about Bypassing Event FX in video track

Posted by Tim Wilde on February 3, 2008 at 11:44 pm

I have a bunch of clips in a video track many of which have the Timecode Event FX inserted. Now I want to disable or delete these Event FX’s and would prefer to do it all at once instead of right-clicking on every Event FX and pressing the B key to Bypass the effect. Is there a way to delete or disable (Bypass) individual or even all Event FX’s on a video track?

I would use a script that deletes all FX.

Which means what and how? We’re newbies to Vegas! 😉

There are scripts available that can delete FX from events/tracks. These prevent you from having to open each one of them individually and manually deleting the FX.

Scripting is a powerful feature of Vegas letting you automate many tasks or even add new features to Vegas. Click on the link below my name for more info on scripting.

Thanks Edward, that’s a ‘does exactly what it sez on the tin’ script. Just what I wanted.
