Question about 5DtoRGB
Hi Folks,
I wanted to know some things about the Software 5DtoRGB:
1. On the website they offer a free simple version, which you have to apply for and leave your mail address. I tried that several times, but never got an answer from them. Somebody knows, how I can get the free version?
2. I read that the latest paid version is supposed to work with MacOS 10.6.8. but on the software’s website it says you need minimum 10.7.x. Does somebody know, if I can run it on my OS 10.6.8.?

Hi Sascha. You can download the free version, 5DtoRGB Lite, from the Mac App Store. However, as you pointed out the new version (10.5.12) requires Mac OS X 10.7 or later because of the switch to AVFoundation. Since AVFoundation is only available on 10.7 or later, 5DtoRGB wouldn’t be able to access the codecs, etc. on earlier versions of Mac OS X. Leaving out 10.6 users certainly wasn’t something I wanted to do, but the massive improvements made by the switch were too great to pass up.
