  • quality not changing when lowering playback resolution.

I’ve just discovered that when I change the playback resolution
from 1/4 or 1/2 or full….there is no change.

    It’s always on full.

could explain my playback issue with many layers of graphics stalling on playback.

any suggestions how to fix that?

    cs 5.5 on mac.

Trash Prefs and Repair Permissions is a good start if you are on a Mac.

    I tried it…no change.

all the settings on both systems are identical.
    same version of quicktime too.

Wish I could figure out a way to force it off full quality.

We’ve had the same problem on six different systems, all utilizing Blackmagic. The only solution for us was to work in a non Blackmagic Sequence Codec and then nest the edited timeline into a Blackmagic Sequence for monitor output.
