Using FCP 5 I am having trouble exporting a QT reference file. After selecting the correct settings the system automatically tries to create a self contained movie. This is a problem I have had before on seperate systems but it usually just takes a couple of attempts, sometimes switching the “self contained movie” tick box on and off and it will work, just thought it was a glitch. Now it happens all the time, I don’t seem to be able to create a reference file. I have checked scratch disks, checked settings for both PAL and NTSC as it happens on both.

Am going potty, any help or suggestions most welcome.

Reference movies have to reference completely rendered media. So to get them to contain nothing but the audio (they always contain that) You have to rendere ANY unrendered effect. RT full or not. I’m guessing this is the problem…?

Unfortunately not. The sequence is completely rendered (audio & video) The sequence has markers but I don’t want to export them as they are not for DVD studio pro will this effect it if I select no markers?

    Running out of ideas?
