  QT Reference files not encoding audio

  Been using Adobe Encoder 5.5. It won’t encode audio on a QT reference file exported by AVID MC. Just gives me snaps, pops and squeals. Any suggestions? The files encode properly in Sorenson and Compressor. The H264 video looks great, but would like audio, thank you. Seems like a major omission on Adobe’s part or am I doing something wrong. Audio is selected.

  I read on a forum that I should open the QT reference file in QT7 and then save it to another folder and that this would cause AE to encode the audio. Tried and it and it didn’t work.
