  QT reference file on Vegas timeline

  Has anyone had any success importing a QT reference file into a Vegas timeline. At my work place we edit on Avid. I like Vegas’ mpeg conversion so I try to use that whenever possible for creating dvds. However if I import a QT reference file created from AVID I get large “black holes” of video on the vegas timeline. If I bring in a commercial spot or anything less than a minute or two in length, I don’t have any issues.

  Any thoughts?
