  qt png to timeline

  I am using Pro 1.5 to make a DVD, and my source file is actually from AVID. The process I am using is make a qt reference first and put it to Pro 1.5 timeline and lastly export to dvd. However, I cannot put a qt file with png compression or no compression in the Pro 1.5 timeline. What i got is a black screen. Why?
  The reason that I don’t just use a qt reference is because someone told me that qt png (or no compression) has better quality. is that right?
