    Hi there,

since couple of days, suddenly (I have never encountered this problem before) when I export ca. 7 min HDV video to QT movie (without compression) the resulting file is 70 to 90 MB, when it should be 1.2 to 1.5 GB?

None of my colleagues has ever heard of a problem like this. Does any one know what it could be?

    I have 2 QT installed
    QT Player 10.0(113)
    and QT Pro 7.6.6

    thank you!

Either the drive you are exporting to is improperly formatted to FAT32 and needs reformatting to Mac Extended. Or, you inadvertently have some part of your sequence selected instead of the entire selection you really want.

    Thank you for your answer,
unfortunately it’s none of the 2 possibilities you mentioned.
I work since 2 and 1/2 years with the same work flow, I tried to export to different drives, and I definitely put the in and out points at the beginning and the end of the movie.
I also tried to export movies from different projects…
    same problem
    ;(

Then trash your preferences, that’s the only thing to do when your Mac starts exhibiting unexplained behaviors.

I put my bet with Duane. When you export, is the box for “Make Movie Self-Contained” checked?
