Yeah I lost my QT Pro 6 license BUT it does not affect the performance of using QT Pro exports through FCP. I am doing my first H.264 export now of a :30 second spot and MAN is taking some time. You have the option of paying Apple for a new QT Pro license to use the features in the QT Player now, or just wait unitl you get FCP 5 and you’ll have a new one.

i’m doing the same thing now – with a pro license – and it has taken forever. The final file looks incredible with the recommended settings – but it is twice the size of the file with a sorenson codec

Thanks for the input. AFAI understand it now, not having a pro license for quicktime 7 still lets me export quicktime files from FCP, right?

Correct. So far, I am getting nice results from the H.264 exports. One weird thing: I made one at full res & full motion, and then made one half screen (320 x 240) and the little guy had a bigger file size! I’ll play some more.
