    Hi

The headline says it all: How to select eyedropper tool while text is active? The question probably fits at any adobe category, but anyway… question remains.

As far as I know this isn’t possible. Would be AWESOME if someone could prove me wrong.

i was looking for a solution for this too, but then i found out that the eyedropper tool in illustrator has another feature like InDesign’s eyedropper. Maybe you guys will find the following tip useful.

    Problem:
I was trying to format some text in the same text box to be the same style, while keeping other text unchanged.

    The solution to my problem:
    1. Use the eyedropper tool to copy the style you want to copy.
    2. Hold down ALT (on Windows) or Option (on Mac) and your eyedropper cursor will change direction, now you can drag over specific text you would like to change the style to.

(I’m using Adobe Illustrator CS5, but I’ll assume higher versions has this feature too, because it’s very useful.)
