  • Putting split video back into one whole length of video

Posted by Chris Eidson on March 25, 2012 at 10:30 pm

After splitting and cutting many things, my video is now a shredded line of mess. In order to move it all I have to move it piece by piece. How do I put it all into one video so that I can move it all at once?

Select everything on the timeline (Ctrl+A) and press g to group everything together.

Ctrl-Click multiple events to select them, then just drag, or optionally group them and drag.

You can also select multiple adjacent events by dragging over them with the selection edit tool. Its icon looks like an arrow in a dotted box. I think the default shortcut key to cycle through the tools is “D”.
