Putting DVD Content on Timeline
I have a DVD of my daughter’s dance recital. She has 3 dances during the recital and I am in the parent dance. I would like to be able to work with the footage. It would be nice to be able to arrange things differently and add a few effects and transitions. How is this best accomplished? Thanks.

File – Import – DVD Camcorder Disc.
This option was originally meant for miniDVDs but works equally well with full-size non-copyrighted DVDs.
Be patient while Vegas reads the DVD and does the conversion from VOB to MPG.
Make sure to specify a different destination folder as it defaults to something like C:\My Documents
