Putting a logo on Sony Vegas 11
I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11 and am trying to figure out how to overlay a logo onto the screen. I drop my PNG image onto the overlay line and it has a black background. When I hit the button for masking I only get 2 choices; source Alpha & Multiply(mask) I’ve sent hours trying to figure this out and searching University of YouTube with no solution. Can any of you tell me how to do this?

Hi Scott,
The oldest version I have is Sony Movie Studio 13. If your PNG file has a transparent alpha background, putting it on the top track, it should automatically work so you see through the background to the track event below.
Right click on the PNG event, select Properties, then the General tab. What is listed in the Alpha channel? If not select ‘Straight (unmatted)’ to see if that helps, or one of the Premultiplied options.
