    I don’t seem to see an option for this, for instance, adding black so the title card can float over other video. I tried ignoring the alpha channel, but that makes the type look terrible.

    Am I missing something simple?

    You’ll have to get Graffiti to do what you are asking. For now, use FCPs Matte > color generator and change it to black. Drop it in it’s own track between title 3d and your video track Crop, feather, adjust opacity and do what you need to do to the black matte in the motion tab.

    Thats’s so funny, as I have Graffiti, and RED but I just hate the Boris interface so much I have barely used either of them in 4 years. YUCK!
