Purple preview screen
Hi, I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and it works just fine. The only problem I keep having is that my preview screen is purple, and, although I am able to see images, it’s really annoying and doesn’t allow good editing.
I am using a HP Pavilion dv6-1030us Entertainment Notebook PC, have plenty of hard drive space and 4Gb RAM, intel Core2 Duo and Windows Vista 64-bit.
Can anybody please help me? Thanks in advance.

This could be a grafics card driver problem.

Is your preview internal on the laptop monitor or externally on a video monitor? also doesn your laptop use shared memory with intel graphics?

I have a ‘Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for mobile’ card. Do you think that could be the problem?

I just tried connecting my notebook to my tv (via serial) and it didn’t do any difference.

What format of footage are you using and what are your project settings? -
I’m working with and MP4 format right now (although it happened before with an AVI file) and my project settings are:
Video:
Display format: Timecode
Audio:
Display format: Audio samples
Capture:
Capture format: DV
(it should be noted that I’m not capturing this from anywhere, I ripped it from a DVD to make an off-line cut)

Oh, I didn’t see the last part of your question. Yes, I think it does share part of the memory. Is that an issue?
