    Dear creative cow,

I’m on a routine project on my church to produce weekly news. Every week we use green screen as a background, so we just simply put everything perfectly (i hope) with After Effect & Premiere.I’m not in charge on the set, just editing.

Today, after I use Keylight, I render the movie as AVI RGB+Alpha, but it turn out to be rather psychedelic. The person on the movie, the VJ, it’s turn out to be purple, the whole movie, is purple. Why is this happening? Never before.

    Can anybody help? Thx.

Does it look that way in Quicktime player, Premiere, or both?

You didn’t state whether the actual compositing is done in AE or Premiere.

If it’s done in AE, then you don’t need to render with an Alpha channel.

    Thank you for the reply.

1.I just edit the whole process again in AE and render it with AE too with AVI RGB.
It’s still the same, the difference is the background video color it’s not turning purple or any other color.

2.I just realize too, the video is purple on Windows Media Player & Quick Time, but not in Total Video Player. So I convert the movie with Total Video Converter & what do you now it’s end up just fine.

But honestly I’m still confuse and hope can find the mistake. Can you share with me again?

    Thank you

I wish I could offer more help, but I’ve never seen a rendered video come out purple.
Also, I’m a Mac guy and am not familiar with the Total Video app.
Maybe some of the p.c. heads around here can help if your problem persists.
    Best of luck.
