I have been following along with some of Daniel Geis’s tutorials on puppet rigging in After effects. Its very complicated with quite a bit of nesting comps within comps. The the controls for the puppets facial expressions which work on sliders are linked back to the the nested comps with expressions so that it can be controlled in the main comp.

The problem Im having is that because of all this nesting I cannot duplicate the puppet to use in another comp or precompose without all the expressions needing to be changed.
Is there any way other than having to manually go through all the expressions and change the name of the comp they are linked to? Because its very tedious and confusing. Thanks.
