Hi, I’m a complete noob (for now), so if I sound stupid or say something that has been explained somewhere else, please direct me as necessary. 🙂

    Here’s the situation:
I have some amount (2-3 hours) of raw, continuous video/audio. On a DVD (well, several), the kind you play in your DVD player and watch on your TV.

How do I take that data off the DVD and turn it into a format something like Premiere could actually work with? There are tons of places explaining how to get video off your camera, but not off a DVD. And I, unfortunately, can’t even begin to learn how to use video processing tools until I have something to work with.

Important detail — I have a MAC. Powerbook G4, 1.5 GHz, 1 Gb RAM, and a ton of harddrive space.
