  Pulling footage from Canon HV30 tape into Premiere CS3

  Hi. I’m trying to pull some footage I shot on a Canon HV30 into Premiere. I seem to be able to capture live footage from the camera ok but when I try to capture video while playing the tape it seems to be working until I stop the capture. When I try to stop it, it says “Unknown recorder error” and I’m forced to start over. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I’m on a Mac running OS X Snow Leopard.
