I apologize if there has already been a post asking questions about this video. I have done a search and I could not find anything referring to it. I have been trying to expand my knowledge and add content to my reel so I looked for inspiration from some of the pros. In this case Psyop. I was trying to find something that I could emulate that would not cause me to shoot video or rely on 3D. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how Psyop created such organic animation in this piece. I am particularly amazed at how they created the waves crashing.

    Thanks for your help.

I’m not so sure. I’m not saying that this was necessarily done in AE, but it looks more like Cell animation to me than real waves. I’m particularly interested in the white foamy water hitting the shore. That is the part that makes me doubt that it’s manipulated footage.
