    Hey there guys,

Just buyed the one and only plug-in Psunami Water wich is absolutely fantastic. Can’t believe my eyes, it’s pretty realistic!

There’s one thing thought. What if I wanted to put a 3D island or a little boat or anything on the surface and wanted waves to collide on the object. Would this be possible or I’m simply dreaming?!

Could there be another way to do this? Of course, there’s not a billion ways to do realistic water like Psunami Water does, but if there could be another way to make some sort of waves collide on an object, I really would like to know how 🙂

I’m still searching to do this in Psunami thought.

    Thx a lot guys!

Psunami does not do any interctions. That’s still the domain of “true” simulations in 3D programs.

    Psunami by itself does not.

However, you could try creating a displacement map using WaveWorld and then use that in Psunami. While this probably won’t look perfect, it sometimes looks good enough to sell the effect.

    cheers,
    Jim

Maybe this helps, found it on there website, looks like a bit of planning you can manage to create te illusion of objects in the water? let me know if this helps?

Otherwise if you’ve got a $1495 lying around, look at :

    https://www.areteis.com/products/renderworld/overview.htm

    FROM THERE WEBSITE:

Psunami creates a truly 3D water surface and environment. It creates a 3D mesh that is then displaced in true 3D. This allows for very complex waves and interaction with the camera. The camera can be attached to Psunami’s water surface or go into the wave troughs.

Psunami also allows you to manipulate the 3D mesh by using displacement maps to create wakes, ripples, whirlpools, and other distortions of the water surface. Again, this happens in true 3D

First of all, thx for all of your responses guys.

I’m not far from having $1495 dollars lying around, so I think I’ll download the Render World demo and buy it. It’s pretty expensive for a plug-in, thought 🙁

    I’ll try Wave World too.

    Thx!

There’s a little problem. I can’t download the demo. After the download’s done there’s like no ways to unzip it. I’ll send them an e-mail.

    Thx for the advice.
