I can not find a way to make a layer comp according to the help file. Using WinXP PShop CS3.
I have a PSD web tutorial with nav buttons which I wish to change colors, slice, etc. for the three states of change. I set up for “normal”, click to save comp, change colors etc. and click for a new comp layer and and all layer comps look like the last revision.
I think I have clicked every combination in the layer comp palette and I can’t find what I am supposed to do to make these layer comps.
Is this just kind of tricky, or does my whiz-bang upgrade on this dual quad mo-fo hot rod need to save each file the old fashioned way?

Layer Comps save Visibility ( whether they are marked as visible in the layers palette), Position(where the pixels are in the document window), and Appearance ( settings in Layers Styles). The changes for the different comps would need to utilize these options. It is not going to remember that the pixels were a different color last time unless you use a style to change the color.

    OK, thanks.
Let me check this out and see how I have been setup.
It seems as though I was checking these too.

    We’re in business now.
I don’t know if restarting PShop did the trick or I was missing a switch, previously.
    Thanks for the help.
