    Dear all,

I am going to be crazy in using fcp (maybe premiere is better).

I have to put a little logo in psd formato on my movie.

The movie and the sequence is in PAL (720 x 576) which is 5:4. befor exporting I change the setting to PAL Sq 4:3. In this manner my logo (working well into the original resolution) become a confused blob.

A big degradation occours also to text on movie. If I move it (of a pixel) the problem seems to disappears.

    What’s wrong.

“befor exporting I change the setting to PAL Sq 4:3.”

Why would you do that? What are you trying to do? Export a still image? Export the video?

    All the best,

    Thnaks for reply.

I have to export the movie and into the movie (after the changes to PAL Sq 4:3 of the entire sequence settings).

In this movie the logo (bottom right) is undistiguishible.

If I use the same logo but in png format all seems to work.

For my purpose could be better using psd files because the access to their different layers.

I’m afraid I don’t understand enough about your sequences and what you’re trying to do.

The PSD file is multilayer and is properly prepared for DV PAL, is that correct? It has been made in square pixels and correctly converted to DV PAL pixel aspect ratio, is that right?

You are using the DV PAL preset in FCP and importing the multilayer PSD file and placing it in a DV PAL sequence with some DV PAL video.

You’re now trying to export the movie, is that right?

That should work correctly if the PSD file is correctly made.
