    Hi All,
I’m trying to import a .PSB into After Effects, and it gives me the error: “Unsupported file type or extension” I thought I have done this in the past, but I can be wrong. Is there a way to import .PSB into AE?
(We need to keep the large file – 3.5gb – so it can be sent elsewhere and then replaced. We currently have 100 layers as smart objects, and the linked file will be changed weekly).

    Thanks,
    Mike

PSB is not supported in AE as far as I know. Could you just save a copy as a flattened PSD, PNG, JPG, etc. each time you change out the layers and just import that instead?

No, can’t flatten it, each layer is animated on it’s own.
I could break it up into 2 smaller files and save each as a .PSD, I was just hoping to avoid the confusion since it’s being sent out of house.

Yeah, I think that may be the best/only option.
