PS3 H264 export?
Anyone know how to export from FCP/Compressor a H.264 encoded file that the PS3 can read? I tried using QTPro to re-encode an H264 .mov to .mp4 using passthrough on the video and encoding the audio to AAC LC better setting, but the PS3 couldn’t read it. It can read a .mp4 exported from FCP, but even with the data rate at 62,000 kbit, there’s a ton of blocky compression artifacts. Alternative solutions like AVCHD or whatever would be appreciated too.

East enough to do in compressor…just play with the settings until you get it right. OR you can spend $30 and pick up the settings pack available at: compressorpack.com and use the custom ones provided! Worth the money to have over 100 presets that are awesome!

Thanks, I actually got it to work; you have to go to “Video Options” and uncheck Main in the restricted profiles.
