Does anyone know in Photoshop 7, if there is a default guides setting that displayes the safe title area for video? I am assuming that since they have all the NTSC/DV pixel presets, that they have taken into account and put in a preset guides for Safe Title…

There is one with guides when you open New and choices for various sizes come up on the Preset selection. If you’ve already started a project just open a new window and drag the stuff there and use the guides.

Glen Stephens Tools for Television Pro also has safe title and action guides when you select a new file from TFT menus as well.

There is a free Photoshop action from adobe.com that creates either NTSC or PAL automatically with a single click.

Do a search for “Freak Shorthand” or “Freakshorthand”

Or if you have CS2, load the Vide Actions set from the Actions palette for this and MUCH more
