PrPro to Resolve for final render- optimal codec?
Currently outputting to Quicktime with Animation codec without audio, then outputting audio separately and joining in Resolve.
Should I consider using Apple Intermediate codec instead for my video?My original footage is Canon Log 4K from a Canon 1DC.

I strongly recommend against the Apple Intermediate Codec, which is a lossy 4:2:0 codec that is similar to the old and rather crummy HDV codec.
Animation is lossless, so it has for a long time been considered a good choice for intermediate files, but the PNG codec in a QuickTime container tends to give files about half the size while still being lossless.
Another good choice is ProRes 4444, which is slightly lossy, but not to a degree that matters for most workflows.
