October 26, 2012 at 2:13 amI’m having the same problem. I need to output uncompressed Quicktime HD from Premiere. Have you found a solution. In my Premiere, Quicktime only has the DV format.

May 13, 2014 at 8:51 pmI’m using Ppro CS6 and looking at the export images in this thread, I’m assuming they’re screenshots from the export media box inside Premier, as I can’t find any dropdown that has pro res.
Also, if I choose queue to got the AME, it just comes in as whatever settings Premier sent over. I too am struggling with simply exporting a full HD video from Premier as a quicktime file.
Any help?
Thanks – Sean -

May 13, 2014 at 9:10 pmThe screen in Pr and AME are the same. Once over to AME, you can click on the cued item and open it up and modify it.
Choose mov, choose prores, there shouldn’t be any struggling…

May 13, 2014 at 10:38 pmAhh, but I do struggle Chris. I do. 🙂
I simply cannot find any dropdown menu in Premier media export or AME that contains Pro res (CS6). Not in the media encoder area, or other. When it goes to AME, the same dropdowns are available as in Premier. Must be missing something I suppose. -

May 14, 2014 at 1:45 pmHey, I’m on a Mac, and you raise a fine point…I don’t think I do which would explain it. Also, I realize I need to learn the purpose for AME to begin with. I usually export directly from Premiere.

May 14, 2014 at 1:48 pmYa, the Prores codec is not free, there are apps to buy which come with it.
Sending to cue using AME is nice for cueing up several vids to render, also does not tie up Pr.
Use the Avid codex Dnx, it’s just as good and versatile.
