Proxy Workflow – Scale vs Set to Frame Size
Hi everyone,
I have the classic set vs scale question – but with a twist. I am using proxies and am worried if I use ‘set to frame size’ on the small resolution proxies, once I upres everything will be too zoomed in. For that reason I thought scale to frame size was good, but I’ve heard that is bad for image quality. Any info would be very appreciated!

If you are using Premiere’s proxy workflow, the effects should scale properly when you switch to full res. So, Set to Frame Size works. If you are just making your own proxies outside of the normal workflow, it may not work as you intend.
It’s a pretty easy thing to test, if you are concerned.
