Hi, I’m hoping someone could advise me. Is it possible for me to transcode rushes to Apple Pro Res files and Pro Res proxy files at the same time say using Grinder or similar? Could I then move the proxies to a MacBook Air (or thunderbolt drive eventually) log the clips in FCP and then start a rough cut? Would I then be able to open that same project on an iMac or Mac Pro and point the offline media at my Pro Res 422 files on my RAID?
Would this work or have I got the proxy workflow misunderstood? In particular I am asking so I can utilise my time when travelling to continue working on my projects.
