“proxy render”
All of my clip settings in my bin (720*480 29.97 fps) are the same as my timeline settings but when I drop a clip in the timeline i get a yellow “proxy render” line what do i have to do to not have to render every clip I drop in the time line

You failed to mention one very important thing. What CODEC is your footage, and what codec is your sequence set to?

Any filters on that? The only time I see YELLOW is when I add the SMOOTHCAM…

i think i’ve gotten the yellow “Proxy” render line if i have the canvas set to white or checkerboard bg.
but that would also imply that there is some scaling or motion effect being applied to your clip as you add it to the timeline.

which could imply that your sequence settings do NOT match your clip settings.
