    Hello Group,

I am a new PP 2 user and I am trying to do a HDV project. I used to work on an Avid, so bear with me. Can I digitize at a lower res, make my edits, throw out the media and re capture the cuts plus handles at uncompressed res?

    Thanks,

    Roy

Yes. You need to have matching TC’s – like with Avid or capture in a DV output from the HDV source. Then edit that in a DV project. Once done, Open a new HDV project. Import the DV project. Offline the files. Don’t need to delete them… but can here. Then Batch capture the clips again… changing the capture settings of the batch to the HDV camera properties. Whallah!

How many editors does it take to change a light bulb?
