Hi. It drives me crazy ☺ Original footage is 2160×3840 (9:16). Proxies are 720×1280 (9:16). But it still looks like this… Can anyone help me how to set things right? Thanks to everyone!

You chose an anamorphic format that should have a check box allowing you to toggle anamorphic on or off, you want it off.

However, you seem to be looking at proxies in the wrong way… You’d probably be far better off using a codec with the same pixel dimensions as your camera original, simply choosing a less demanding resolution and codec. That way, all of your graphics and text will translate appropriately when and if you ever wish to reconfirm using your camera original.

Thank you for your reply but I didn´t choose anamorphic format (consciously or by mistake).

Also my camera aspect ratio is 9:16 as well asi proxy. My camera pixel aspect ratio is “square pixels 1.0” as well as proxy.

I´m using proxies for years and sometimes this happens with no obvious reason.

Do the actual proxy video files look like that (in Finder) or do they just get squeezed when they appear in the sequence?

(i.e. Are the proxies being created wrong or is Premiere just displaying them wrong in the monitor?)

    Hello.

Proxies are OK when playing from finder. Problem is only in Premiere (in sequnce and in monitor window).
