    i have a very powerful Editing Station

    do using proxies for cannon 5d mark IV – 1080P footage will speed up my process or is it obsolete ?

    Unless you are having problems, using proxies will take additional time to prep and finish your projects.

    If you ARE having problems, what problems are you having?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
    Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
    4 internal media drives RAID 5
    Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.

    i am not having playback issues
    however i was wondering if this could fix the recurring crash issues i am experiencing (time consuming and frustrating).
