Ok so I got a client that wants to have a mixtapes page where people can listen to and download (for free) mixtapes. Now the mp3 player is no problem – I found a great one that displays an album cover thumbnails for each song and it has a link in it for each that i can make go anywhere.

Now obviously I’m thinking of turning the links on each song into download links…. what I don’t know how to do is make it so only registered users can download music or whatever else for that matter.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    hello…

ya – you could put the mp3 player in a separate page that had a session and required a login to see it – there are lots of examples of that out there – here’s a good place to start:

or search our archives as well – we get this question often…

    hope that helps!
