Well, not strictly. It’s for whatever you want, but you will gain the most bang for your ProRes buck if you use it in HD.

Hi Gary,
DV50 is 4:2:2 for NTSC and for PAL.
DV25 is 4.1.1 for NTSC and 4.2.0 for PAL.
The only 4.1.1 flavor in PAL is DVCPro25.
