ProRes sequence settings in CS5 PP
I am running CS5 PP on a MacPro.
I have imported ProRes files from an AJA KI Mini Pro recorder. As there is no sequence setting for ProRes I have taken a clip and dropped it on the new item icon as suggested in the book “An Editor’s Guide to Adobe Premier Pro,” by Richard Harrington et al. On page 41 it states “another way to create the correct sequence type is to drag an individual piece of footage onto the New Item icon….Abobe PP automatically builds the correct sequence based on the selected piece if footage.”
This is not working as it created a sequence that is Acv Intra 100 1080i. Maybe it picks this because it matches the ProRes 1920×1080.
Could someone explain how I can create a ProRes sequence in PP CS5?

Since you read the book you know that PrP has a different approach to editing a variety of source clips on its times line.

Well I have just begun reading the book, and I see that it hands things differently but that limited knowledge didn’t help me set up a sequence that would work with ProRes.
However this link you have seems to layout what I need to know. Thank you for that.
