ProRes (proxy) codec error
Just got some media from a friend to edit. He is editing with “proxy”. I just upgraded from 6.0.6 to 7.0.3 FCP so I could edit his project. I can watch the footage on quicktime and play it in FCP, but when I try to render his timeline I get the CODEC NOT FOUND. YOU MAY BE USING A COMPRESSION TYPE WITHOUT THE CORRESPONDING HARDWARE CARD.
I have read some posts and done some searching, but still no luck. When I render in regular Pro Res I’m fine. Is this a hardware thing or what the hell? If I need to convert to another prores which one is the next one I should use?
