I’ve run into a weird situation. I’ve been editing with Premiere Pro using ProRes files for a while now. This morning when I booted up and opened up Premiere, I can no longer read ProRes Files. The quicktime icon for all the prores clips gets stuck on ‘Processing’. Even weirder, the same thing happens on another computer when I try it. I’ve tried different ProRes clips from different projects and none of them will open. Other clips such as R3D, MXF, etc. will open without issue. Anyone else experience this?

Have you done any updates of QT lately, or are updates automatically happening? 7.6.6 is supposedly the “standard” for QT on AE CS6. You may want to check whether that has changed on your system.

Sorry about that – I meant to write PPro CS6, not AE

I think I solved the problem. It’s a pretty weird thing though. I had one file in a folder that is corrupt. I took that file out and Premiere recognized all the files. I put the file back in and it got hung up on every file in the folder.

Yeah. Hopefully no other weird surprises. I’m sure there will be though.
