Hi, I’ve been having a few problems working with ProRes. I’ve also had problems with finding the cuda adapter. Others have had similar problems.
The problem seems to be due to component start-up. My second opinion would be that it is caching related. People have been advised to re-install components or even downgrade (e.g. QuickTime).

My workaround is to open DaVinci Resolve and view a few ProRes files and this seems to work! My logic is that if you use a application that can properly handle ProRes it will leave something up and running that Premiere can use. However it could simply be that all I’m really doing is giving Premiere enough time to start up itself.

The error that Premiere reports is dire – it claims there is no video or audio on the media. That is wrong.

So to my question: how do yor get more error information out of Premiere so that you can see what’s going on?
